A Perfect Girl From Indonesia: Mesty Ariotedjo

There is an old saying uttered by the late social swan Gloria Guinness in 1963 in which she scrutinized the origin of elegance, that is, “in the brain as well as the body and in the soul,” but with all due respect, as in this particular case, I would add that elegance also has its roots in blood. I too would reason myself for saying such a notion, from Isabella Rossellini who inherited her elegance from screen icon Ingrid Bergman, to Chanel-clad Princess Caroline from her mother Princess Grace Kelly, and in this very case Mesty Ariotedjo from Arti Ariotedjo.

Mesty Ariotedjo is the only daughter of Arie Prabowo Ariotedjo and Arti Ariotedjo, she has an older brother, Aryo, and a younger brother, Ditto. The family maintains a strong and firm hold on religious values that are indispensable to harmonious life.

She was debuted at Yayasan Jantung Indonesia fundraising Debutante last February alongside bright young things Cecilia Jessica Sadikin, Roberta Wachjo, and Gracia Maryulis among others. A true Indonesia’s sweetheart, she opted a national university to prepare and educate herself for a future career she has long dreamed, a physichian.

The once elected Prom Queen of SMAN 8 is currently studying at Fakultas Kedokteran Univeritas Indonesia (Medicine Faculty of University of Indonesia) and in her spare time working as a model and muse for the celebrated Indonesian designer Biyan Wanaatmadja besides acting as a spokesperson for Clinique Suisse Jakarta. But wait! You can also see her playing the harp for Atas Nama Rakyat on TV1.

Bright, beautiful, and multi-talented, the newly 20 years old lady remains modest and unpretentious, unlike many other girls who are also blessed with such advantages but tend to indulge themselves in vices. Had beauty came only from within, unaffected by the numbers of her Grace and Jane inspired bags, hers is not going to diminish.

R.I.P ALEXANDER MCQUEEN
ALEXANDER MCQUEEN has died. The tragic news has been confirmed this afternoon by his office. The 40-year-old designer, known as Lee, was widely regarded as one of the most talented of his generation.

"On behalf of Lee McQueen's family, Alexander McQueen today announces the tragic news that
Lee McQueen, the founder and designer of the Alexander McQueen brand has been found dead at his home," his office announced. "At this stage it is inappropriate to comment on this tragic news beyond saying that we are devastated and are sharing a sense of shock and grief with Lee's family.

Lee's family has asked for privacy in order to come to terms with this terrible news and we hope the media will respect this."

Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman paid tribute to McQueen this afternoon: "Lee McQueen influenced a whole generation of designers. His brilliant imagination knew no bounds as he conjured up collection after collection of extraordinary designs. At one level he was a master of the fantastic, creating astounding fashion shows that mixed design, technology and performance and on another he was a modern day genius whose gothic aesthetic was adopted by women the world over. His death is the hugest loss to anyone who knew him and for very many who didn't."

Born in the East End in 1970, McQueen studied at Central Saint Martins and trained on Savile Row where he famously wrote messages in the linings of suits being made for HRH The Prince of Wales. Once the enfant terrible of British fashion, he graduated to being one of Britain's most internationally successful and was named British Designer of the Year in 1996 when he was just 27, in 1997 (when he won it jointly with John Galliano), in 2001 and in 2003.

Close to his mother and father, a taxi driver, McQueen often paid tribute to them and admitted that the only reason he discarded his natural rebellion and accepted a CBE from the Queen in 2003 was to please them. He was devastated by the death of his mother earlier this month.

REMEMBERING THE GORGEOUS DESIGNER

Alexander McQueen - A Life In Fashion

The fashion world is in mourning following the death of Alexander McQueen who was found dead in his London flat on February 11, following the death of his mother, Joyce, just a week beforehand. The visionary designer won the BFC Designer of the Year Award four times during his stellar career, continually pushing the bounds of imagination and creativity.

Often referred to as British Fashion's "enfant terrible", his first collection was bought in its entirety by the late Isabella Blow, who championed him from his debut show and became his best friend. Known to his friends as Lee, McQueen will be mourned by many.

This is my 5 favorites movie list, maybe you like it too . hhi ... here they are :

new moon

The Twilight Saga: New Moon is a 2009 American romantic fantasy fim based on Stephenie Meyer's 2006 novel New Moon. It is the second film in The Twilight Saga film series and is the sequel to 2008's Twilight, which is also based on Meyer's previous novel. Summit Entertainment greenlit the sequel in late November 2008, following the early success of Twilight. Directed by Chris Weitz, the film stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner, reprising their roles as Bella Swan, Edward Cullen, and Jacob Black, respectively.

Melissa Rosenberg, who handed in a draft of the film script during the opening weekend of Twilight, returned as screenwriter for The Twilight Saga: New Moon.Filming began in Vancouver in late March 2009, and in Montepulciano, Italy in late May 2009.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon was released on November 20, 2009 in most countries, and set domestic box office records as the biggest midnight screening with $26.3 million. This led to the biggest single day domestic gross with $72.7 million. The film also opened with the third biggest domestic opening weekend ($142,839,137).The film was well received by fans, but critical reception was less favorable.

Its immense gross has made it not only the highest grossing film released by Summit Entertainment, but also the highest grossing film not to be released by one of the "Big Six" film studios or their subsidiaries (not counting DreamWorks Animation, which relies on "Big Six" studio Paramount Pictures for distribution)

17 Again is a 2009 American comedy film from New Line Cinema directed by Burr Steers. The film was released in the United States on April 17, 2009. It was released on DVD and Blu-ray on August 11, 2009.

The Devil Wears Prada is a 2006 comedy-drama film, a loose screen adaptation of Lauren Weisberger's 2003 novel of the same name. It stars Anne Hathaway as Andy Sachs, a recent college graduate who goes to New York City and gets a job as a co-assistant to powerful and demanding fashion magazine editor Miranda Priestly, played by Meryl Streep. Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci co-star in support of the two leads, as catty co-assistant Emily Charlton, and critical yet supportive Art Director Nigel, respectively. Adrian Grenier, Simon Baker and Tracie Thoms play key supporting roles. Wendy Finerman produced and David Frankel directed; the film was distributed by 20th Century Fox.

Streep's performance drew rave reviews from critics and later earned her many award nominations, including her record-setting 14th Oscar bid, as well as a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical. Blunt also drew favorable notice and nominations, as did many of those involved in the film's production. While critical reaction to the film as a whole was more measured, it was well received by the public, becoming a surprise summer box-office hit following its June 30 North American release. The commercial success and critical praise for Streep's performance continued in foreign markets, with the film leading the international box office for most of October. The U.S. DVD release likewise was the top rental during December. Ultimately, it would gross over $300 million, mostly from its international run, and finish in 2006's top 20 both in the U.S. and overseas. It is also the 2nd highest-grossing film in Streep's career (the first being Mamma Mia!) and the highest grossing in Hathaway's.

Although the movie is set in the fashion world, most designers and other fashion notables avoided appearing as themselves for fear of displeasing U.S. Vogue editor Anna Wintour, who is widely believed to have been the inspiration for Priestly. Many designers did, however, allow their clothes and accessories to be used in the film, making it the most expensively-costumed film in history. Wintour later overcame her initial skepticism, saying she liked the film and Streep in particular.

Twilight is the debut, young-adult vampire-romance novel by author Stephenie Meyer. Twilight was initially rejected by 14 agents, but became an instant bestseller when published originally in hardback in 2005, debuting at #5 on the New York Times Best Seller list within a month of its release and later peaking at #1. That same year, Twilight was named one of Publishers Weekly's Best Children's Books of 2005. The novel was also the biggest selling book of 2008 and, to date, has sold 17 million copies worldwide, spent over 91 weeks on the New York Times Best Seller list, and been translated into 37 different languages.

It is the first book of the Twilight series, and introduces seventeen-year-old Isabella "Bella" Swan, who moves from Phoenix, Arizona to Forks, Washington and finds her life in danger when she falls in love with a vampire, Edward Cullen. The novel is followed by New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. A film adaptation of Twilight was released in 2008. It was a commercial success, grossing more than $382 million worldwide and an additional $157 million from North American DVD sales, as of July 2009.

The Game Plan is a 2007 family comedy film directed by Andy Fickman and starring Dwayne Johnson.

This is the last movie in which Johnson uses his ring name "The Rock."

This is also the last Disney movie to be distributed by Buena Vista, due to Disney semi-retiring the name in May 2007, making all other future Disney movies (starting with Enchanted) permanently distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
